Urban Energy is proud to participate Brooklyn-based start-up BlocPower’s Civilian Climate Corps (CCC) program.

This initiative is aimed at giving individuals in New York City that have been affected by gun violence and incarceration an opportunity to participate in workforce development programs in the renewable energy sector, while also addressing the issue of increasing gun violence in the city’s neighborhoods.

The program allows for participating employees to train for jobs in the growing clean-tech field and develop skills like electric heat pump installations, solar panel and battery installations, electric vehicle charger maintenance, and Wi-Fi installation.

Our company has grown our construction crew through this program and is proud to help train a group of workers in the renewable energy field.
